Reservations on Virgin Trains from EUS to GLC 23/4/2017 @ 1928

I'm trying to book tickets on the 1928 Virgin Train from London Euston to Glasgow Central on Sunday 23rd April. On the Virgin Trains site I can buy a regular ticket, but it says "reservations aren't available". Advance tickets (and thus reservations) are available earlier that day, and for the days following. I've contacted Virgin Trains, but every time I do they say that reservations (and advances) should be up by now and they'll get back to me the next day, then they never do.

Probably not open yet due to the possibility of engineering work; it'll get to Glasgow quite late and they may not yet be certain of the timings for the last part of the journey?

That makes sense, thanks for the advice. Hopefully they'll get the reservations up soon. The 1828 is really too tight to catch, otherwise I'd just book that instead.
