REQ: Two items needed (Coach and Unit)

Morning all,

I doubt that either of these are on TOPS/TRUST hence the separate thread.

Saturday I took a trip out and about.

First:
Passing Willesden I saw the front of a class 325 poking out of the end of the Royal Mail terminal. I have seen it a few times but I keeep forgetting to ask.
What unit is it?


Second:
On the way down from Newcastle I noted a Red possibly MkII carriage by the side of the track north of Thirsk.
I don't think it was "The Sidings" as they aren't red.

Anyone know what it is and the Number ?

I THINK it is a mark 2 BFK being 14124 - it has been there a long time. it is in the site of Otterinton station IRC

Maybe of interest, there are a few photos of 14124 on Flickr one of which states that it was previously 17124 under BR

Yes it's part of the privately-owned Otterington Station Museum....which also includes the restored station building and signalbox.

It was originally numbered 14124, then renumbered 17124 to avoid confusion with a Southern Region class 405 4-EPB EMU vehicle when TOPS was fully-implemented. I believe that it reverted to its original number when purchased by its current owners....but the last time I passed-by - just over a week ago - I couldn't see any painted number on it.
