Back up to Leeds again. Bagged a £19 Seatfrog 'instant win' upgrade today and got an airline seat. Wooooo!

Got to the lounge at King's Cross. Said good morning and received a sarcastic comment about being there early (but within the rules ... 1hr45 prior). Lounge was overflowing, so I didn't stay long. Looks like bottled water isn't coming back? I feel like a filtered water tap or 3 wouldn't be a crazy idea either – the whole thing is really low rent. And they definitely need an island for the refreshments counter instead of it being against a wall.

Platform area in King's Cross is an absolute oven! They need to do something about all those glass ceilings in stations.

On the train I was last to be served due to my seat location so they had run out of salads (not surprising that they're popular in hot weather - wasn't in the mood for hot pasta or a tikka toastie). The falafel wrap was OK, but it was 80% wrap. Sad the cured meat salad is gone from the menu as that was really nice. Crisps/dessert/wine all pretty decent.

Typical Yorkshire hosts moaning about having to do their job lol. Bless 'em. Felt sorry for them serving the middle aged couple across from me who apparently didn't speak enough English to say "please" or "thank you" and just barked "crisps. water. coffee. tissue" at the hosts.

My carriage was a little warm but didn't want to fan myself with the menus because I've been scalded about "mistreating" their precious menus in the past (accidentally put my wine glass on it !!!)

Walking into the lounge at Leeds, I received their famous warm welcome: "Oh. You're limited to 30 minutes on arrival".

For what I paid (£55) I can't (well, shouldn't) complain too much - all on time too. It's just the comments the staff make tend to rub me the wrong way.
