I am trying to book 2 seats on a service from Marseille to Barcelona at the end of May, its not showing tickets unavailable, in fact it is showing me the prices, however it will not allow me to reserve any tickets. It will, however, allow me to reserve tickets on the same train the day before and the day after.

It is the same issue on RENFE/Loco2/SNCF/Trainline Europe.

I am kind of worried they are already sold out (although they must have been only on sale for a few days, ive been checking very regularly for them to come on sale). There is a large music festival in barcelona starting on that day.

Any phone numbers I can call to find out the answer... If not i guess the coach will have to do! :{

Which day of the week is it? Iif a weekend, probably an engineering works issue.
Have you checked other trains that day from (say) Montpellier or Narbonne?
Given that we are talking 4 months hence, unlikely to be sold out, and I wouldn't panic yet.

something funny is happening to that train, i managed to book the same train up until Girona at a much lower price and tacked on a cheapy advance from there to barcelona (albeit 60min later). will see on the day if the TM will allow us to continue to barcelona without the stopover.

If it's 30 May, then it's a public holiday (Ascension Day), which might affect things.
