Hi. Trying to do as many of these as possible before they go for good and could use your help to locate them. Where are they still opperating? A few PS Boddied examples with Scottish accents I know remain in Fife and Strathtay but as to others? Scottish ones are easiest but also north England and further away too.

Any help to locate would be just smashing. Thanks

edit

Stagecoach Wales still have a few Volvo B10m's in service mostly out of the depot in Cwmbran so can normally be found on the following routes:

X3/X33 Cardiff - Pontypool - Abergavenny (The route is split at Pontypool and continues to Abergavenny as service X33, the same is used however) This generally operates every 30 minutes monday to saturdays

74 Newport - Chepstow

14/X14 Cwmbran -Newport - Chepstow - Bristol (It can be a bit hit & miss on this route as some journeys are operated by First are operated)

They do appear on some local routes which Stagecoach operate around Newport.
The majority of Stagecoach's Volvo B10m's are Alexander PS bodied including the example which has been re-painted back into the original Stagcoach livery.

There is an example at the depot in Brynmawr which is normally used only on school services but did make an appearance last week on service X4 Between Brynmawr and Cardiff since it is fitted with a tachograph.

They do appear on some local routes oocasionally around Merthyr Tydfil and the Blackwood depot has a Volvo B10B (Plaxton Verde body) which can appear on local services between school services, in fact it was out earlier this week on service 6 Blackwood - Wyllie

East Kent still have some Plaxton Paladin and Alexander PS bodied B10ms in service. There's a Plaxton Verde bodied B10B and a Wright Endurance bodied one in wolverhampton operated by coastal liner.

Rotala had a pair of Volvo B10M double deckers in Redditch which were gained during the purchase of First Kidderminster and Redditch

First have some B10M deckers in Northampton and the Potteries

Classic Bus North West, who operate services 12 and 22 in and around Blackpool, have 2 Volvo B10Ms with Alexander PS bodies (R898XVM and R899XVM) though I believe they sometimes work school services as well.

Can't help you with high floor B10s around here, but regarding step darts Pygalls coaches operate N755 OYR a now pretty rare East Lancs bodied version M-F on service 230 between Sunderland and Hartlepool- a decent 50 minute ride out. Timetable here

There are still odd Olympians venturing out in the north east too, best place to look would be Haymarket in Newcastle for Arriva ex midlands ones or Stockton High Street for indigenous ex Transit Stagecoach examples. They are few and far between though....

Stagecoach Manchester have a few for training; there are also a couple based at Stockport used exclusively for school contracts.

Damory Coaches of Blandford Forum in Dorset have three B10Bs with nice Plaxton Verde bodywork and are seen on many of their routes which are ex. Oxford Bus Company vehicles . They also have a big fleet of ex. Isle of White Leyland Olympians which are interesting amongst others. Worth a visit if you can

Don't think "further afield" meant this far, but there are still plenty of B10Ms in service in Latvia !

In fact one operator (Ekspress Adazi) has it's entire fleet (30 odd) of ex Swedish B10M / Saffle.

Aren't a few of Stagecoach Bedford's coaches Volvo B10Ms? I might be wrong though. I'm thinking the ones used on the 99 and the yellow school bus ones.

Damory haven't been based in Blandford since 2003. They are an arm of Wilts and Dorset and are based in Poole.

The old Blandford depot is now a pet shop...

Think there must be quite a few B10M coaches still out there. A couple of the more unusual ones still in service -

Kettlewells, Retford have this one which is one of the very few remaining Jonckheere P90 'rear saloon' / one and a half deck coaches

http://www.flickr.com/photos/philrandle/8618972921/

Fairly recently given a thorough refurbishment (there was an article about it in 'Bus & Coach Preservation' mag a few months back)

Another rarity is this one

http://www.flickr.com/photos/58709930@N02/5503331066/

a 3 axle B10M-53B, with bodywork by Deltaplan (Ajokki) of Finland - one of only two coaches they sold to the UK.

Again fairly recently refurbished and with Just Travel, York.

Both are unlikely to see much local bus work, though...
