The EMT HST's haven't been listed as yet. And as the time is nearly here reporting sets would be useful.
What time is nearly here? There’s no new stock ordered yet...The EMT HST's haven't been listed as yet. And as the time is nearly here reporting sets would be useful.

The EMT ones don't have sliding doors. The EMT HSTs still have a few years yet, as well as the XC sets.
Because there isn't one for VP185's as such. Why would it be useful? A bit like the Pacer thread where people report seeing things that will be seen hundreds of times again this year?

Yes very true. But with the added reduced mobility obligations plus the fact that IC70 seats are very wide mean the isle is not wide enough for the PRM regulations that meet for 2020 so what will happen? What time is nearly here? There’s no new stock ordered yet...
They will only stay until around 2021 if any longer.Doesn't matter, they'll probably have a derogation.
There isn't enough stock to replace them before the PRM 2020 deadline.

Is that they end of this year?Derogation, would be political suicide to withdraw the EMT HSTs without a replacement.
Anyway, we'll find out what's happening to the HSTs when the next franchise is finally awarded.
The at the moment the end of EMT is 17th August so it is possible that something will be announced with the next few months (April/May time). Is that they end of this year?

Loosing the HST's with no replacement would mean there would be almost 30% reduction in the mainline fleet for EMT (counting sets not number of coaches).
The EMT sets aren't going anywhere for the foreseeable future, and there are currently no plans to refurb them either. The alternative if no one else has said is to take the hellfire current seats and put in more less bum friendly seats instead![]()
