Refund help?

just been on a, ahem, lesuirely train journey. I know it was over 30 minutes delayed (given, whilst already late, we spent around that just south of Shelford).

Anyway, anyone able to access records of actual running? I got on the train at Broxbourne at 1813ish, and arrived Cambridge 19:48. As I just got the first train that turned up, I've no idea what time it was supposed to be!

(Out of interest, what time did it leave London Liverpool Street? I'm sure a fellow passenger claimed it was the 16:28...)

First train to depart Broxbourne to Cambridge after 1813 was the 1753 service which left at 1821 and arrived at 1938, 57 Min late. This was the 1728 from Liverpool Street. This was the first train to leave Broxbourne going to Cambridge since the delayed 1653 which left at 1709.

Heard tales from a guy who also boarded at Broxbourne that things got a bit, um, feral when the rail replacements turned up- people stampeding the coaches (having been turfed off Stansted Express services, so they had planes they were trying to catch). He'd taken the oppertunity to discover a local pub instead.

There was a 1753 from BXB which departed 28 down at 1821.

It arrived into CBG at 1938, where it was 57 down.

If that's the train you refer to, it was delayed due to overhead wire problems and departed Liverpool Street at 1747 (but it should have left at 1728)

It was that one indeed.

More than just wire problems- there was a points failure at Cambridge. We got stuck in a big queue of engineering and Kings Cross trains for ages. Driver did a good job though of trying to keep us informed- even if all he could say was "I'm not being told any more than this". Passing the blame further up the chain= sympathy

Fun facts:
The NXEA "Dealy Repay" form doesn't have, in the "Origin" and "Destination" lines, enough boxes to put all the letters for "London Liverpool Street". It is two characters short
I was about to post my form (yes, I'm chasing a refund of not-very-much, but hey) when I noticed that the ticket was no longer in the "sealed" form. The seal is rubbish. Taping it up now.
