I booked a return journey from Eastleigh to Penzance via Basingstoke and Reading on Friday 31st of July, when my 22:46 train to Basingstoke became delayed by 22mins. My train was announced to be arriving at the platform which was heard by a fellow passenger. When the train arrived, to double check it was the correct train me and another passenger asked the guard if this was the train to Basingstoke and he replied with 'yes'. We both got on the train and ended up taking us to Chandlers Ford. I got off the train and caught the next train back to Eastleigh in the hope of catching the last train to Basingstoke which unfortunately that train was running on time so I missed it. This meant I could not catch my train to Reading thus not allowing me to catch my train 00:37 train from Reading to Penzance.
Basically I was unable to travel to Penzance as I needed to be there for the Saturday morning so there was no point in me travelling. Am I entitled for a full refund and who should I claim off?
