Which run were you on today on the 08s? I was on the 1120 round trip, and was most impressed by the length and speed of the run (most sprightly Gronkage for me since 03119/133 on the WSR ten years ago).

Myself, and at least two other forum members, were on the 10.20. Another mate of mine was on the 11.20...

I too didn't realise it would be so long! On ours, it seemed 08476 (or D3591 as it is numbered) did all the work on the outward, but both locos powered on the return.

Yes. 08476/D3591 seemed to be the smoother runner of the two. The climb seemed to be a bit steeper on the return, though...

50 winners in that trip was pretty good going, fair games! If I'd waited for the 2319 Edinburgh to Perth I'd have scored another 170, but I chose to make 158868 a Super Dud instead. I'm now almost at halfway to my target for this year's scores, which is 604 to beat 2015's incredible record. 306 more scores to get in order to hit that, which will now be a challenge but I intend to give it a good go. A couple of London trips and a trip to Manchester will see me get a lot closer, and I'm going to Vienna this November, where everything will be required. That will help boost the scores somewhat!
