Recommend me some books

With a bundle of book tokens burning a hole in my pocket, I want to top up my railway book stockpile.
I have some modelling books in mind but I'm looking for a few 'journey'-type books, like Paul Theroux's 'The Great Railway Bazaar' and Iain Marchant's 'Parallel Lines', which I already have.
Matthew Engel's 'Eleven Minutes Late' and 'On The Slow Train' by Michael Williams look interesting but are there any others you'd recommend?
And are Wolmar's books actually any good?

What about London Lines by Michael Kelly? It was published quite a while ago so you might have some difficulty finding it. Basically it's a description of the author's adventures as he travels the London Underground to see what's there.

I read it when it was first published, and liked to so much I sought it out again in the last few years to read again.

'Just finished reading 'Eleven Minutes Late' and its an amazing book (if you get it look out for the mention of 'Chris from Lincoln' thats me). If your into your ghost stories then 'Shadows in the Steam: The Haunted Railways of Britain' is worth a look. Waterstones usually have a large range of railway books in thier transport section, and in the local interest section if you want to find out a bit more about the railway on your doorstep.

this suggestion is a modelling book but I got a copy for secret santa at work and its great, its "Airbrushing for Railway Modellers" by George Dent

Best secret santa present Ive ever had thats for sure!
