The recent bad weather has got me thinking about options for re-routing my if there is distruption. From reading other posts, it appears that in most cases common sense prevails with direct journeys, however I was wondering how things would stand with split tickets.
To use my journey as an example although it possibly isn't the best example due to lack of line interchange possibilities:
Full Journey - Luton Airport Parkway to Coleshill Parkway
Typical route via change at Leicester
Split Ticketing @ Market Harborough.
Logical re-routes for the full journey would be perhaps:
Luton - Bedford - Bletchley - Nuneaton
Luton - St Albans - St Albans Abbey - Watford Junction - Nuneaton
Luton - St Pancras - Euston - Nuneaton
However I suspect a more direct re-route might be via the East Coast line or diversion via Corby and Oakham, to get to Mkt Hboro which would effectively be where my ticket would take me to.
Any thoughts
