I have had a couple of times when I clicked the -1 hour button and got 'no trains found' (when there obviously were) and then get a 404 not found.

something something comment on social media about an issue you're experiencing and don't contact the actual service to ask them as well

(It is now fixed, we were being attacked.)

Has anyone else had this issue today? Whenever I search a location it either gives me a search error, or just deletes the location selected and gives you a blank search instead.
I had that a few times today at random but just assumed it was my phone being a bit "funky" (as it sometimes is), since it worked when I tried again.

A feature recommendation.

I don’t know if it’s possible but I think a really useful feature would be if you could get a notification when a train reaches a certain point. It would save a lot of screen refreshes and obviously be useful for enthusiasts waiting for a specific move, possibly useful for regular passengers too if you could set it to give you a few minutes notice before your station stop is coming, or if they know they need to set off to the station when a train reaches a certain distance away.

Anyone explain what is going on here, a train currently on its way to Cardiff appears to reverse near Patchway, based on formation

Where are you seeing a reversal?

Ah I see, was looking at the timings. Looks like an input error in Trust

I can't say for this example but sometimes if an EMR service is showing a set the wrong way round and it gets reported, it gets corrected during the journey showing a reversal, even though it doesn't actually reverse

This is deliberate, the train diverted via and called additionally at Bristol Parkway. Therefore this reversal at Patchway reflects the reversal at Bristol Parkway.

When a train is made up of more than one unit on RTT, is the direction of travel from the origin towards the right or left, or even random?
I did look for a help page on RTT but couldn't see one.
Typical page shown below.

Generally the left will be the front.
There are some TOCs that often have their formations listed in the wrong order, so it won't be accurate for them (e.g. c2c list stock in numerical order, so may be wrong).

Nice thing I've noticed for today is that all the loos being used at the Swanage Railway today have icons on RTT! Even the 99!

Recently subscribed to RTT+ and am very happy with it. Suggestion: when searching a particular unit, can the current diagram it's on be positioned top (maybe outlined in a different colour) and also display it's current location within that diagram as well? Without RTT+ it would take you straight to the current diagram.

The graphics are great, the class 26 is actually a class 25 graphic, most obvious is the gap where the air brake cradle should be, and the 25 bogies compared with the 33 on the same graphic.

Great effort though!

@Tom

The website suggests registered users get 1 month of historical lookup but its only allowing 14 days even once registered and logged in.

There's an intermittent issue that causes this that we found the cause of a few days ago and it's due to be fixed in the next software update. A refresh of the page should be all that it needs to make it wake up.

Indeed, can anyone say what that stands for?
See 756rider's post above - it's a new code to differentiate it from Heavy Haul Rail
which is keeping the 09 business code (Freightliner is now 66, I believe).

Freightliner services also have a new set of TRAs and TSCs from today too.

It is related to the split out of Freightliner and Heavy Haul; but the actual meaning of the ATOC code is I think just a copy across from its business code (as opposed to sector code which is what @Freightmaster refers to).

In general they are now trying to keep atoc codes and business codes the same unless there's a good reason not to.

A bit odd but I've noticed a few fleets have had their graphics removed, notably the TfW 230s and now the Southern 171s too

I believe there have been changes recently 'under the hood' to how graphics are displayed, and some have slipped through the net as a result. Now that they've been mentioned I'm sure @Tom will spot them on his next passage through.
