I have seen that RTT+ offers downloads but I'm unsure of what that is or the format.
If I'm going out for a day photographing then I like to have a list of what is coming with me - even if it was created the day before -
Ok looking at a single train to see how it is running but scrolling thru a location list is not as easy.
Would it be possible to put an out of date list that somebody could download and they could see if it is of use?

I'm going to be interested to see what the download capabilities are, but notice that it explicitly says "CSV format". That will require a little skill with spreadsheets to manipulate and use.
An enhancement I'd welcome, would be a "print to PDF" option for either searches or individual trains. While I've a good workaround on my laptop, the ability to do so from a phone or tablet would be welcome - but I realise it would also put load on the RTT servers.

What browser are you using? On Firefox I can print to PDF on mobile.
I use iPhone and iPad, so Safari.

I think print should work ok anyway but the placeholders for the ad box should be gone in RTT+.

(so, this is a little nerdy, but shows that it is possible relatively easily. Depending on your level of computer literacy / how comfortable you are with Excel / code etc, I'm sure plenty of people here could help you come up with a solution that is less than "a bit of work")
I can't imagine it'll be something Tom and the RTT team would be interested in developing, but someone could create something. It has happened in the bus enthusiast community however. Someone had created a spin off of bustimes.org called mybustimes.cc which is basically a sandbox for creating fictional timetables and fleet lists for things like bus simulators. Slightly off topic, I know

Yes but the data isn't currently available in that part of the database so it is something we are going to do in a future update.
I'm gonna be pretty blunt but ... no.
Some people are, some people aren't. Some people use ad block, some people don't. Ultimately if you're happy with ads and wish to support the ongoing running of the site that way then it's fine by me

Sorry - I did not mean it to come across like that.
I remember in the past I could copy the web page and dump that in to excel - get rid of cancelled and Q trains and tidy it up.
I would have been happy to subscribe for that feature again

I've bitten the bullet for a years subscription, as at 50p per week, it's a no brainer.

The allocations for the whole day sold it to me, this is incredibly useful as a lookahead, and worth the money.
Personally the pictures are not that useful, but when they are there, the unit etc. numbers are shown in a banner below the image, making everything slick. Where images are not available (freight, Southern for example) you doo need to click to show the train information. Can this not be shown as a banner too regardless of whether an image file can be called?

We have now formally confirmed that 5 years is the rolling limit that we will be supporting in the base RTT+ subscription. We will be rolling out a further bolt-on subscription to take that back to the origin of RTT (or more, it's predecessors, Rail Staging & Timetables). Real-time data will not be completely available across that entire period but for those instances we will infill with a timetable. The start date will likely be 1st January 2012 - so it should also contain the Olympics & Paralympics 2012 timetables which contained highlights like CrossCountry to Weymouth...

I do hope @Tom that those of us living outside GB who enjoy RTT will be able to subscribe in due course.
Yes, we're in the process of selecting a Merchant of Record service to process customers outside GB. The legal risks with processing it ourselves and remitting VAT to incorrect authorities, etc, is just too high for us to take the risk ourselves.
I would expect that we can support that by the end of next month.
