Reading to Woking on Thursday

Hi,

I'm planning to travel to Woking from Reading on Thursday leaving at 09:30 and returning around 19:00. Could anyone confirm that routes via Guildford and via Basingstoke are both valid on an off-peak any permitted ticket please? Are there any restrictions for off-peak tickets if I decide to leave Woking a little earlier in the evening?

There are 2 Off Peak Day Returns from Reading to Woking:

* £23.80; Route: +Any Permitted
This is not valid for return on various trains from Paddington between 1600 & 1915 (Validity code P7)

* £14.70; Route: Not London
This has no restrictions on the return journey (Validity Code B6)

Neither ticket is valid for travel via Basingstoke.

Although having just checked it comes out at £18.90 but it sometimes is cheaper to split there.

But it is £13.20 from Pangbourne route; not London (W3) valid from 09:00.

This surprises me, as in the past I've had day returns from West Byfleet or Woking to Reading and been told it was valid via Basing. Presumably the conditions have changed over the years.

You're permitted to travel to Fleet via Basingstoke from Reading.

Off-peak day returns:
Reading --> Fleet: £7.00
Fleet --> Woking: £7.20

Total: £14.20
