Has seemingly not been used for a good few days, bit of an impact, anyone know why?

The route from platform 7 to the Festival Line hasn't been used today in the westbound direction but there have been trains to Reading West and London.

However, it certainly seems that most Devon / Cornwall trains have gone through platform 8 today, and there have also been platform 3 reversals for CrossCountry. Perhaps now fixed.

Nope, there is still an issue with the country end of P7 at Reading, the ESR they wanted to implement hasn’t been set up for reasons unknown to me yet, it’s not causing too much drama using P8

Thank you. I keep heading over to platform 8, and needing a few extra minutes. Hasn't appreciated a couple of workings had made it.

There is a problem with the bridge over Caversham road. I believe the track from Platforms 3 and 7 is a different span to platforms 1/2 hence they are unaffected.

The ESR has been implemented now so normal working can resume, the crossing will need to be replaced at some point

Tonight's journey had a hint of nostalgia, queuing back from Maidenhead to get into Reading. Just like the good old days pre-rebuild

That was all caused by a Elizabeth line train having an egress pulled or faulty indication of an egress being pulled, obviously this took time to resolve as it couldn’t be quickly established if a person had actually got out of the train

Yeah despite this happening around Hanwell, it did put an all stop for about 10/15 mins durning the peak which as you can imagine caused quite the tailback that took time to resolve itself with the congestion it caused
