Hey Guys and Gals
Need some advice
back in 2023 i got a job with GA as a trainee conductor and it was going well but i had a mental health breakdown and was hospitalised for 2 weeks and GA had to let me go because i got too far behind on the course.
At the appeal process they said i can apply in future. since then the job has come up a few times and i get an email saying i have not been shortlisted for an interview , In your guys opinion shall i keep on trying and hope one day i can get back in. I am worried that they have blacklisted me for the job.

any advice welcome

Many Thanks

Waza

I've been on the Railway for over a decade in a Ticket Office role and soon after I joined I started applying for Conductor jobs at several different TOCs to no avail.

I've also tried to get a similar job to what I do in a different part of the UK, as I'm looking to relocate. Still not got anything, other than a couple of unsuccessful interviews/assessment days and many more unsuccessful applications despite my experience.

I guess it's very competitive these days. Good luck!

Some times it is just luck of the draw IMO. I've applied for jobs and been turned away at the first opportunity, yet applied again next time without changing anything and have proceeded further.
