So I recently purchased my first sound fitted loco but it's still set to address 3 because I'm absolutely terrified if I change the address I'll end up nuking the sound functions.

Can someone please confirm just using a controller to do a normal address change will be physically impossible to impact the sound function.

Yes I've got a couple of n gauge factory fitted sound locos and I have changed the address with no issues.

I've changed the decoder addresses on a few sound-fitted engines and each time it's been alright - I don't think there's any impact changing the address could have on the sound function.
