Hello , im on my laptop running windows vista home premium and raw files can not be opened how do i get windows to recognise .cr2 and other raw files for free ?

IIRC there was an update for Vista to fix some problems with RAW files, so try searching for that.

PS elements do aswell a bit cheaper but not quite free.

have you looked on the MS site might be a patch on there.
