I think it's almost worth bunging a fiver [1] in just to see what he actually finds out.
I personally would love to see a 'fly on the wall' documentary of him coming to terms with his struggle against reality in the very public arena of modern media. I mean it could be quite amazing TV couldn't it?
Did anyone see that series years ago called 'Space Cadets' when they convinced a bunch of numpties that they were being launched into space from somewhere in Russia but actually they were in a simulator in a trading estate in Suffolk somewhere?
They completely believed that they'd taken off in some kind of shuttle craft and from what I remember when they eventually opened their hatch they found themselves in a studio with everyone laughing at them [2].

There's definitely some kind of amusing show in this.

How do these people explain the horizon, the fact that the horizon is different in different places, and that you can see ships coming into view over it?

A bit of a more extreme version of being blindfolded, put onto an upside table that's then lifted up to the sound of a helicopter taking off and being told to jump...
