Random Train arrived today at 8:13 Bushey

I was waiting for the train to arrive at 8:19 at Bushey, and was rather surprised when a train that usually blows through the station stopped and let people on. It was on the board as an 8:13.

It was rammed, so I waited for the next one. I was hoping that it would be a regular service newly introduced, as I had loads of choices for a seat on the next train! However, looking at the timetable, it seems to have just run today, and it's not going to run again.

Does anyone know why it stopped in Bushey today?

It is shown that the 07.39 Bletchley to Euston made an additional stop at Bushey (scheduled at 08.13) as a train fault meant the train before, the 07.55 Watford Jcn to Euston (the 07.59 from Bushey) was formed of only 4 instead of 8 cars.

Thanks for that - I hoped it was a test or something with a view to something ongoing, but never mind!

How did you find that out - is it somewhere publically accessible?

I actually found about it on an internal railway system but perhaps I'd have been better off looking on Twitter as I'd have got the answer quicker and with less hassle

Ha ha - it's only because I remembered seeing it at the time that I went looking for it to add to the thread.
