A special thread for Grammar Nazis, Victor Meldrews and Labourites everywhere!
Do you get annoyed when people spit gum on to the street? Or maybe when the neighbour's dog wakes you up by barking too loud? Or is life in general just a big pain in the metaphorical you-know-what?
Whatever it is, here's your chance to vent like there's no tomorrow! So come on down, and let loose your frustrations!
-------------------
Shall I start, so you can see what I mean?
Why do some people insist on putting a full stop at the end of titles? Such things are not necessary and even frowned upon!
A second one is those who insist on using American terms in general British usage. What the heck is a sidewalk? Or a garbage truck? Or a diaper? OR A TRAIN STATION?
The list could go on.
Anyone else like to offer any other amusing examples?
N.B.: This thread is intended to be light-hearted.
