Im guessing you mean the incident where the line was closed between them earlier - 2 people arrested after they left a car on the level crossing, which a 375 had then struck.

The driver and four rail workers on the train were unhurt after it hit the car in Ramsgate at 05:00 BST.

That's good. Anyone know the train number/unit number?

Also it looks like 2 people have been arrested for obstruction to the railway and operating a motor vehicle while unfit through drink/drugs.

It was the 2W10 (0450) Ramsgate to London Charing Cross via Dover Priory.
It was formed of units 375921 + 375824.

375921 has damage to front bogie/traction motor [minimal damage], coupler/horn and gangway [severe damage], wont be back before December is my guess.

66230 also ran from Dollands Moor to assist with the clear up.

The 375's also ran back to Ramsgate TMD under there own power (limited to 10mph of course!)

The conductor properly would have got names/details of people on the train, to try and stop people claiming and that.

And the collision happened at like 20-30mph, so injures wouldn't have been severe anyway :L

I was at Ashford today and you could tell it must have been a serious incident. Many trains were delayed, a few were cancelled (two XX:33 to Charing Cross services definitely were) and trains were sat on platforms 5 and 6 a lot longer than usual in most cases. Some Charing Cross trains also ran fast to Tonbridge, then fast to London Bridge to make up the delay.

The most notable event was when a Dover Priory/Canterbury West splitting train arrived at Platform 5. The front half departed on time but the rear half spent about fifteen minutes at the platform. In fact an automated announcement suggested the Canterbury West service had been cancelled, but that turned out to be wrong. This of course meant that the 14:43 High Speed service to St Pancras couldn't access the station (although it was delayed anyway) and ended up taking the place of the 15:13.

Losing a 375, even for a short time, certainly isn't good news.

It's already known that there were only 4 passengers on the train, it was the 04:50 after all!!

BBC News said they were Network Rail or Southeastern workers (i think)
