Hi all
I recently got a few new routes for train simulator 2013, but not all of them work properly.
The screenshot below shows what happens on some routes, but not all.

All help appreciated
Kind regards
Anthony

Which routes? Freeware? Or payware? And if the latter, purchased from where?

Bit of both. Freeware routes all seem to work, but there are 4 pay ware which don't work I think

Settle Carlisle
Woodhead route
Glasgow to Edinburgh (did work but now doesn't)
Kent High speed
London to Portsmouth (I think)

A friend sorted them out for me and got them downloaded

So you didn't pay for them? As that would be a pretty good reason why they look the way they do.

As I said, a friend sorted em out for me. I just left him to it. Although my railworks is packed with freeware off things like UKTS and paywear from steam store. No idea where my friend got them from

It seems your friend just copied and pasted the files into your steam directory. This will not work. Best bet is to actually purchase the add-ons.

Well, I've been into the route folders which are installed, and all of the objects and files ect seem to be there.

Also, what about the Edinburgh to Glasgow route? That worked for a time and too stopped working
Thoughts?

If you don't have the license connected to your steam account for the routes.

Copy protection will kick in.

Easiest way to see what DLC you do own, right click on TS2013 in Steam, select properties, then select the DLC tab it will give you the full list of the routes etc you own.

Which is piracy, is it not?

What you are seeing is DRM because you don't own the content. As already advised, the way to get them working is to actually buy them.

Yes all the files will show in your railworks assets/contents folder and will even show in your on screen menu. However the image you showing is what's normally showing when you don't actually own the route yourself ie purchased from your steam account therefore it is not registered to your account

Amazing how many people must have tried pirating content, they seem to know exactly what the symptoms are....

And what exactly do you mean by that comment may I ask you to expand on your reply

Unless you have proof that I have tried what you mention I suggest you apologize straight away.

It doesn't take anyone to work out exactly what the OP posted to determine what has happened to his game. Actually a simple google search comes up with the answers so I suggest you stop been so decriminating in your answers and apologize please

I like you create a lot of work for railworkers/ts2013 and do not obide by piracy and copyright breakers I spend allot of free time in creating routes, scenarios, reskins so unless you actually know me may I suggest you keep your comments to yourself please

It was actually a general comment, not necessarily aimed directly at you. But as you demand it the way you do, then no apology I'm afraid.

It still does amaze me though that people do know these symptoms, and no, what I am actually looking at in that screenshot isn't found by a simple Google search.

Ok well I will apologize to you DP I thought you were aiming that comment at me as you had my post quoted on your reply so I apologize.

I take piracy very seriously I think its wrong as the people who suffer are people like yourself etc who spend allot of time creating fantastic routes for TS for people to then pass around to whoever they want.

Ps love your WIP on the northeast england btw. Whens it due

It's on hold at the moment due to a route I have scheduled for release in September. I had also been in the process of ripping parts of it up to utilise the new gantry tool.

Of course, it's understandable from the way I quoted, no hard feelings.
