I'm going to Israel in a few months and was wondering if anyone had any info on Israeli railways, or preferably pictures?

I understand there is a line from Tel Aviv to Haifa which I hope to travel on, has anybody here done this before?

This wiki page here has some good looking info on routes so could be a good place to start. There is also the Israel Railways website here (I've assumed you don't read Hebrew so I've linked you to the English language page).

Brian, cheers for your input.

As it happens, and without going into too much detail, my girlfriend is actually working out there at the moment monitoring human rights abuses and working alongside both Palestinian and Israeli groups who want a peaceful resolution to the conflict that exists.

She finishes work at the end of May and I'm going to visit for a couple of weeks afterwards before she comes back to England. So im fairly well versed in the situation, ive heard about very little else for the last 6 months!

I'll be looking to pick up a copy of Rail Express, is it the March issue? I'm out of the country at the mo but will get it on my return. Cheers!

Oh, and I actually saw Mark Thomas on one of his practice shows talking about his ramble last year!
