Just started to sort out a large collection of Railway Track Diagrams, Atlases and the Like .

A real mix of the Quail Track Diagrams and TRACKmap Publications along with R.A Cooke Track Publications and some very unique issues for the UK's Minor Railways , as well as a good bundle of Miles and Chains .

I will start to get them scanned and up on my site this week - WWW. Transport Past Times

I think you need to be very careful here as most book publishers state (within the book) 'All rights reserved' which usually means no part of the publication may be reproduced what so ever without the prior written permission of the publisher. This includes scanning pages / documents and putting on a website for others to view. Your choice but as I've said be careful.

Generally it is accepted to show sufficient to identify a work and indicate its content; for example, the cover and a sample page. I am not certain, but I think this is regarded as ‘fair dealing’, but it is not clearly defined.

The OP is a second-hand book dealer, and I think is only referring to scanning the front covers, as in the examples attached to the first post. That's the case with most if not all the books on their website.

Morning, sorry my statement did leave it open to the honest observations above.

Yes it would just and only be covers that i can and will scan for my site , that is what i can do to conform to the publishers rights etc.

When i can say for example with an official British Rail leaflet /Timetable/Handbill and the like i will and do show and offer more than a cover.

Sorry for any confusion , but thanks for caring and sharing

PS - I can bring all or any of the publications to the Crewe event in June , and happy to let any enthusiast have a good look through to see what's what and yes make a informed purchase.

It was a honest observation on my part as you have confirmed it was not 100% clear what your intentions were. Anyway, it is now obvious so all good but I appreciate taking my thought the right way. :)
