DP2 is correct but it wasn't actually a Deltic (although it looked like one). IIRC was was the prototype for the Class 50, which was virtually the same mechanically but with different body style.

Diesel locomotive No. DP2 came to grief on July 31st 1967, working the 1200hrs Kings X to Newcastle, when it collided with a derailed cement train near Thirsk,which ripped the side out of the loco,unfortunately six passengers were killed in this accident.
All of the class 50 locomotives were powered by the unit used in DP2 the 16CSVT engine.
The engine previously used by DP2 was put into 50023
