I don't know if this has been mentioned before , but the latest (5th) edition of this is available on the Railway & Canal Historical Society’s website. From what I can see it's free to download or view on line. Link here
For anyone who hasn't seen a previous edition, the author (Michael Quick) has done a huge amount of research into opening and closing dates, name changes etc. If you want to know exactly when a station opened or closed this is probably the first place to look.
