IPC Media has sold The Railway Magazine to Lincolnshire-based Mortons Media Group, publisher of Rail Express. IPC, based on London's South Bank, has offloaded lots of its specialist magazines in recent months so the sale isn't a surprise. Mortons bought Rail Express in June, so having two rail titles should help its advertising sales team.

This has been coming for a couple of months now - I was beginning to wonder if it was actually going to happen. It actually gives Mortons three rail titles, as when the company bought Rail Express, they already had Heritage Railway (which I think has been a Mortons title since it was introduced).
