La Tour de Carol?
Rodez?
Yes and yes.Aurillac?
Is the obvious answer but not correct - you are in the right country, but too far north!Ffestiniog?
That's right. The loco was ordered in 1869 for the Nassjo-Oscarshamm Railway in Sweden, but for reasons unclear it ended up on the BP&GVR. It lasted until about 1900, after which (in the way of small impoverished railways) the remains were put to good use - the boiler ended up as a culvert in Burry Port and the bogies were used for transporting heavy machinery to a colliery.Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley Railway
Could this be the night of the dreadful PanAm bombing over Lockerbie?Thank you
In the 80s, a Class 86 hauled train was stopped at Carlisle, examined and taken straight out of service despite no mechanical failure or defect to loco or coaching stock - for what reason did this happen and what had the train crew and passengers witnessed?
Well, that question lasted about as long as a trip on a Class 139... You are, of course, correctC

Berlin? There's one answer I haven't seen yet. @D1511 and @Peterthegreat are tied on three and I don't have a tie breaker prepared if neither can get the final one.
Hmm, I didn't think to prepare anything....Well, that question lasted about as long as a trip on a Class 139... You are, of course, correct

But I think this is a valid question - The Southern Railway (and then Southern Region) denoted all its electric multiple units with a number indicating the length of the unit and then 3 letters. There was one exception (afaik) which had only a number and then 2 letters. What was it?
Quickly and accurately answered (at least, the answer I was looking for) - the Bulleid double deckers themselves. Travelled in them just once, on a London Bridge - Dartford service. The floor is yours.4-DD
Sadly I didn't, although I managed a look around one of the carriages in poor condition in Northamptonshire a while back.Quickly and accurately answered (at least, the answer I was looking for) - the Bulleid double deckers themselves. I was focusing too much on Intercités de Nuit ones to count that, but that's right. Albi was the one nobody got.Berlin?
