Your turn to set the next question. Right!
In which year was there a head-on collision between two passenger trains on the approaches to Hull Paragon station?

Indeed! @Peterthegreat gave me the correct answer in the pub in Carlisle yesterday lunchtime....but has so far been generous enough not to post it on here! Not the answer you are looking for, but 'Greek meets Greek'.
I remember it from 'Red for Danger'.

West Cornwall Mineral Railway?
Thanks! Here's another slightly obscure one:I’ll give you that, although it was the Cornwall Minerals Railway. Operation taken over 1877, but not fully amalgamated until 1896, by which time it had built another line and bought another loco. The roundhouse at St Blazey was built for the locos, two to each of the nine roads as the they were intended to work back to back.
Not on that line.A volcanic lava flow from Mount Etna has obliterated the railway line?
Not that either. Was it something to do with problems over regauging a narrow-gauge line to standard?
