We need to look on the south side of the river for this location ( NB It's not London Bridge because although the toilets are all outside the gateline, they are still within the station itself ).

There are no toilets at Vauxhall within the station itself; they are located outside the station in the bus station area.


@RDP - Vauxhall is bigger and busier than New Cross Gate, but that was a good shout.

@Ashley Hill - Clapham Junction does have toilets.


I was expecting someone to say Stratford, but that one does actually have toilets, albeit they are very well hidden and very poorly signposted...

The steps were set into the platform and required boarding over when services arrived

It was on a single line with two platforms on the same side, although one of he patforms was rarely used. Passenger services from it ceased in 1939 ,But during the late 50s it was brought back into use ue to Engineering work on the adjacent line the replaced it, and Goods srvices finally ceased in 1964

A bit more info.... This station had a goods yard and was mainly used for the various coal merchants of the area
The two platforms were bisected by a level crossing There is no confirmatrion that any building ever existed on the 'southern' platform .all buildings were sited on the 'northern' one. although a ticket collectors hut may have been on it. Whilst passenger services ceased in 1939 .most, if not all, of the traffic was transferred to the adjacent station in the 1870 on its opening

I doubt it. In order from 'north to south' The line being more NW/SE, it was goods yard, Main platform, level crossing, second platform.
Also the goods yard had sidings both sides of the line

The station was built partly over the 'village lake' ( aiui a pond does not have an inlet and outlet, whereas a lake does) as there was a brook. entering and leaving the pond it is a lake albeit a small one!! The brook then ran under the 'northern' platform to join up with a river to its east, which then entered the Thames.
