What happened with 45016 and 45106 (the diesel ones) that didn't happen with any of their classmates?

It was indeed.....but at that time it took the TOPS number 27 119, being renumbered later to 27 201 when a separate sub-class was created for the ETH-fitted push-pull locos. Later still, it was renumbered again in the 27/0 series when its push-pull and ETH capability was removed. Your turn to take the St Rollox Works paint stencil.

If I may take the floor again on my pet subject of class 27s (second only to class 29s!):

Which was the last class 27 to carry green and white livery - and the only one to carry its new TOPS number while still in green livery - until overhauled and repainted at St Rollox Works in the autumn of 1974?

27001?

And if that isn't right, you know what my next guess will be!

Well that was a fluke!

So...

37250 was allocated to Gateshead from October 1974 to February 1987. Where was its next depot allocation?

Correct!

It was there for a year and a bit before heading to Scotland.

Your floor...

Oh, ah, erm. Right.

Which class 50 got stuck on a low loader for a couple of days on a busy street in Exeter in the 1990s?

50019 in Holloway Street. I have some photos somewhere.

That was indeed the one. I remember driving past it and then parking up to have a closer look!

Your turn to pull yourself out of a dip and provide the next question…

Of the seven preserved Class 52s,which two did NOT attend the Laira open day in 1991? Both required for correct answer.
