Hello @Purple Train - Are either of us correct?
No, that was 51F.West Auckland?
As you were fudging, I'll see if someone else can name one of the others. There is now a geographical clue.I'm cheating slightly here because I'm looking at a 1961-62 Ian Allan ABC combined volume, so I can see all four....or rather three of them, as 52J had closed by the time this book was published. However, I'll only give one of them - 54A/52G, which was Sunderland South Dock - to give others a chance!
Thanks. I believe that Borough Gardens depot was - until its closure in 1959 - situated on the East side of the Sunderland line about half a mile South of the former Gateshead East station. The site was later used for the Tyneside freight concentration depot, built in the early 1960s. I can only assume that Borough Gardens was originally the freight locomotive depot for South Tyneside and that declining traffic levels and the wish to build the new freight depot brought about its combination with the passenger locomotive depot at Gateshead, which itself was developed from the former North Eastern Railway locomotive works.P.S. I have no idea where Borough Gardens was - can anyone shed any light?
I reckon you're right! Your turn again. Two former bridges at Wylam and Blaydon.
King Edward Bridge
High Level Bridge
Metro Bridge (if we are counting light rail)
So I reckon 5?
Yes, York is correct. Your floor...I seem to remember BREL York being the birthplace of the 'PEP' EMUs, though my grey matter is somewhat rusty!
She certainly was, and kept the name right until the GNER red stripe was covered over. Even when she was the only 91 to carry National Express livery and officially unnamed, she still had a Cuneo mouse.Named Terence Cuneo as 91011
37093
Yes....but the 'POLICE' lettering had been removed after the end of filming.Did anyone on here actually see it in that livery?

I saw it from our bedroom window (my regular spotting location) on its way to filming on the Tyne Valley line. I was a bit surprised!Did anyone on here actually see it in that livery?
Thanks! Next up...Correct
You presume correctly!I presume the link is Ben?
The 50 was Benbow; the 37 was Ben Cruachan.
No idea about the duff though
