In 1925 GWRs Assistant Chief S&T Engineer Robert Insell created a design of signal box built using steel frames and concrete blocks. 19 were eventually built and later classified as Type 9 by the Signalling Record Society although the prototype differed slightly from the rest. Where was that prototype located?

Just about the only box I can think of was Frome South (?), but I have no idea of its date. Somewhere in South Wales would be more likely as the GWR tidied up after the grouping. (I can think of another concrete box, but Cromer Beach is a long way from the GWR.)
