Maybe going off at a tangent...
President Lincoln's funeral train, with a Guard of Honour around the body and a large pictorial image of the late President affixed to the front of the locomotive over the cowcatcher, retraced the 1,654 miles that Lincoln had travelled as President-Elect in 1861.
