Since no one has it - the loco concerned was the N.Z Johnston 16 wheeler. It resembled a 4 truck Shay but had jack shafts from a single V-twin down the centre.

The first station was Epsom where LBSCR trains ran through the middle lines of the LSWR station.
Both companies trains then headed south to the next station Ashtead.
Then further south the lines split to serve separate LBSCR and LSWR stations at Leatherhead

Did I give too much detail, or did you just know the history well enough from your past surveying work in the region to get it straight away?

The answer to the previous question was I knew Epsom had a separate Epsom Town station closed in 1929 and Leatherhead LSWR station closed in 1927.
In my later years work for BR it took me to many stations around the South East. I also worked for a Rail Contractor surveying (and photographing) stations for work purposes which involved describing access routes, hazards, etc.
