I believe they recorded a few. The one I was looking for was the westerns as I believe that one actually got into the album charts, but as I forgot to add that bit.

I have been to Stuttgart in Germany which has dual gauge (metre and standard gauge) track for tram and S-Bahn system.

Where can you find an underground monorail which can also only ever be bashed in one direction*?
( *It's a 5 minute ride, but it will take you about 3 hours to get back to the start of it for another go should you want one! )

There are a number of rollercoaster which are suspended from a single track which would fit this. Nemisis @Alton towers or Hulk at Universal World of Adventures?

No, this one is completely underground.
While technically it is indeed a monorail, the rail is a power supply and the train also has conventional rubber wheels ( as in these rest on the ground like car wheels to keep it upright, not guiding on the rail; the wheels are however directionally passive and all the guidance is done by the power rail ).

Good try, but that is not a monorail nor is it currently open.

As a guess I will try the Paris Metro.
A few of the lines have rubbered tyred trains with one rail powered.

You're closer in that you have the correct country now, but the Metro does not include any monorails, nor are there any 5 minute one way rides that take you 3 hours to get back to the start to go on again...

Not an airport, but it is tourist related.
You might get a clue if you think about where I have been this month ( see trip reports section ) although be aware I haven't named it in the report*.

Ok think I've got it. When you were in Lourdes did you visit that railway in the caves where you also go on a boat?

Rather an obscure system, I have to admit, but also probably the only mixed traffic monorail in the world as well since it is also used to move wine barrels around.
Have you been there yourself? I suspect so as it doesn't get a lot of publicity.
