Sudan it is -- not "South" thereof (that issue is essentially, moot -- the 2ft. gauge was effectively dead-and-gone, before the "split"). There were extensive 2ft. gauge agricultural railways -- more than one system -- basically to serve cotton-growing; and Khartoum had a 2ft. urban tram system, first steam-, then diesel-worked, between 1904 and 1949 -- for the last couple of decades, just a short remnant survived -- rest of city's tram network was electrified and converted to three-six.
