On the Liverpool Lime St train from Birmingham the other day, people stacked their luggage up to roof height in one of the doors completely blocking it, it was pretty ridiculous. Are there no stations on that side all the way to Liverpool?

15 Walk slowly 2 abreast in a space wide enough for 5 to pass with ease, and ignore everyone behind you. As long as your train is not due for ages it's fine to block people who are trying not to miss theirs which are due to leave very soon.

Rule 25. Take as long as you possibly can, ignoring the Guard or other staff members standing at the end of the coach obviously waiting for you to leave.

I had a couple on earlier, the female was actually still in her seat reading her sodding Kindle when everybody else in the carriage had long gone!

It takes so long to get out of these modern trains. I've spent years stood up waiting for everyone to move, contorted whilst trying to get my coat out of the luggage rack. I just stay sat down reading the paper until everyone else has gone now.

If an odd yellow train draws up at the station, with "Not for public use" notices on each door and stock not seen in regular public service for some years now, please try and open every door in a futile effort to get on. Angrily ask if this is "the train to Norwich" and keep trying to get on as the train moves away with an angry man at a window shouting "Get away from the train you f*cking dimwitted a*sehole". Some coaches may have seats, but that doesn't make it a passenger train. The other coach has a kettle and computers, it's not a ******* internet cafe.

On a side note, it's nice not to be beholden to any customer service obligations.

I think it's bad manners to put feet on seats, even though there are many signs in the carriage, the said person isn't the one having to clean them.

If on a packed train and having to stand, why do people, especially teenagers listen to music at full volume with headphones on and all in the vicinity can hear is boom boom!

It also winds me up when you turn up e.g. at Preston for a Virgin service that has started further North to find someone already sat in your reserved seat, they won't move, with the words of "It's my right" and even worse when they haven't a seat reserved!

I will stop there, I don't want to get my blood pressure up!

My pet hate is when people start snogging on public transport. I mean, can't people control themselves for a few hours of the day? If I'd been in charge of some of the trains I've travelled on when people have been all over each other, a few people would have been off, by way of "pick a window"...

I remember this well - I wish I could find someone to be naughty with on public transport

Sometimes with idiots like that, they need heading out of a window at 125 mph.
