Railway connections to the Hodbarrow mines area

Just north of Millom, there was a railway connection into that area of Hodbarrow and I would be pleased to hear from any forum member with any historical railway information of railway services that once served the mines area.

There was a piece in railway bylines magazine (Volume 17 Issue 3 according to the irwell press web site). I'll see if I can find it in my collection later.
