On Sunday 7th December SELRAP in partnership with Boundary Mill stores UK will operate a train from Skipton North Yorkshire to Colne Pennine Lancashire, your chance to sit back and relax on this 2 hour special train trip to the New Boundary Mill store at Colne which is just a few meters from the train station.

This train trip will be the 3rd railway special to run between the two towns and is being run to highlight the campaign to re-open the missing rail link from Skipton to Colne which once re-opened will just take 15 minutes, SELRAP the campaign group which was created in the summer of 2001, say that it is hopeful that the line could be reinstated by 2014.

further info in regards to the railway special will be available soon on the SELRAP website which is at:http://www.selrap.org.uk

Petition to the Prime Minister has been launched and SELRAP would be very greatful if you could sign this at:http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/reopen

If you have any question with regards to the special train trip or the campaign to re-open this railway please email me at:lance@2altitude-marketing.com

As part of SELRAP I think that this great news!
By the way, if you were thinking that it would be Deltic hauled or something on those lines, no. It probably will be a pair of 156's as used on the last trips.
Go SELRAP!

Well my initial thought was that it would be WCRC operated, but looking at it again, this trip would be better suited to 156s as it isn’t really on 'enthusiast' tour, but more of a community tour if you know what I mean.

Anyway, good luck to reopening the Skipton – Colne line!

If this was to be a pair for tractors or 40145 then I'd be on it. But, considering it’s a 156 of all things, I think I'll stay in bed that morning.<D;)

It's all for a good cause though! :)
