Railway Anniversaries

Having enjoyed the Great Gathering for Mallard 75, one has got to thinking about other railway anniversaries coming up and worth commemorating by a visit to the area or to see a train.

Next year, the poignant 100th anniversary of Quintinshill.
Flying Scotsman 100th (just reminded of her age by a DVD, and may even be running then )

Any others that may be worth looking into?

I dont know what's going to be on yet, but they're planning a shindig.
