Hi all. I hope everyone is well.

I haven't posted much on here for a while but I do tend to read posts most days. While I normally use my laptop when at uni and desktop when I home, I still use the app when viewing the forum on my iPhone. While the app for both iOS and Android was removed from their respective app stores some time ago, the app seems to have continued to work without issue. However, I tried to use the app last night and I am getting the "There appears to be a connection issue between your device and RailUK. Please try again" message that usual appears if you don't have an internet connection. Every other app was able to access the internet fine, and turning off the WiFi and trying over 4G didn't help either. The app is still down today.

Has there been a software update to the forum that has meant that the app is no longer functional? Is anyone else having this issue?

Many thanks

Ryan

It sounds like something has been changed which has caused the support for the app to end. It's not surprising given that it's been off the app store for about three years I think.

Are you using iOS or Android?

So it's affecting both iOS and Android then. I wonder what's up.

The app is working for me now and has been fine all day. There must have been a temporary fault somewhere.

We haven't done an update in the last few days that would have caused this, but in any case we no longer support the old app and cannot guarantee it continuing to work with the forum - although we do support the Tapatalk app still.

It's been working fine since my previous post. It must have been an issue with the connection between the forum and the app.
