I was waiting for the bus in the freezing cold at Stockport bus station this evening, and looked up to see what I expect was one of the usual Pendolino services which pass over the viaduct.
I was surprised to see what looked like a heritage rail service: a rake of about 12-15 Pullman coaches hauled by two DRS locos (one at each end) heading southbound over the viaduct, around 8.30pm.
Does anyone have any more info about what this train could have been?
