Perhaps you could buy a Rail Atlas? I think some editions have junction names, etc marked and they include all railways including some out of use ones too.

Just a thought,

I have the Ian Allan British Railways Atlas by M.G. Ball. They're usually around eBay for quite cheap. They're from 1995, but I don't think there's really any problems with them.

The book shows...
  • Passenger and freight lines.
  • All passenger stations
  • Enlargements of major centres
  • Preserved railways
  • Disused and mothballed lines
  • Proposed lines (which I find rather annoying tbh)
  • Full gazetteer of stations
Overall I'd say they're great little things, and mine was only £2.50!

I got that book for £1! It's a good and handy little map :)

You can get bigger ones for a bit more though that have junction names etc.

Nothing on the internet though as far as I know.
