Railforums - what happened in mid 2010?

I was looking at site statistics for Railforums via Alexa (http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/railforums.co.uk#) and a graph (attached) shows that in mid-2010, the average time on site per user shot up to over 30 mins. What happened then?

The same website reckons us lot are most likely to be 18-24, male and without kids!

The Alexa statistics which you have linked to are not accurate and do not represent reality, or the actual figures which are available to the forum Administrators. There was no drastic increase in mid-2010 as represented on that graph, and most of the other figures shown on that graph are also wrong.

Fair enough I fall into the age and gender categories being 22 and male but i have two kids. I wonder if that site is trying to make some kind of statement about rail enthusiasts?

How do Alexa have the information that they claim to have on this particular website and have they breached any privacy laws in obtaining this information? Where do they obtain their statistical information upon forum members? I decided to access the Alexa website to see what information they hold on the generic make up of forum members and they do show an amount of statistical information.

You do state that most of the other figures on that graph are wrong. Can you make a formal complaint to Alexa on that matter.
