RailForums APP?

Someone has probably asked the question before. But anyone on here a software developer?
an official RailForum app would actually be really useful I think. Especially for keeping up to date with jobs and discussions.

Maybe slightly more user friendly, it would definitely flow better, be able to send push notifications to that you can stay on top of a feed or discussion. Be easily to upload media directly from your phone is required. For example the Twitter app is much easier to use that Twitter in browser

Writing an app is easy enough but you need to be able to access the information. Does XenForo (the forum software) provide any APIs? Without them then all you'll get is the website embedded in an app which provides no benefit at all.

See I didn’t even know any of that stuff, I’m just asking questions, maybe prompting someone who has the knowledge, experience and time to do it

Doesn't Tapatalk allow you to access this forum? I know I've seen it in the footers of various posts here over the last few years.

I don't really see the point in having to install a dedicated app for viewing a website when there are several out there already - web browsers!

There is already the option to be notified when a thread is updated; simply hit the 'Watch' button at the top of the page and it will let you choose whether to have the bell icon light up, or be notified by email. Choosing the latter will then allow you to have a push notification via your email app if this is what you really want.

You can also 'watch' an entire section of the forum should you wish - if Jobs and Careers is your favoured section then you'll then be notified every time any post in that section is updated.

I think it used to but no longer does.
