RailDriver now supported in OpenBve

Dear all,

Some of you surely know (or own) the RailDriver Desktop Train Cab Controller from P.I. Engineering. Unfortunately this device, specifically developed for train simulations, is not recognized by Windows as a joystick; therefore, it is(was) not usable in OpenBve. That's why I've developed a "workaround" that makes it now recognized by OpenBve as a "normal" joystick. Please see https://sites.google.com/site/raildriver4openbve/ for more details.

This piece of software is still in beta version and your feed-back is highly welcome !

Did you get permission to re-licence Tao? It was under MIT originally. Also I note the MIT licence is still in place in the Tao source.

TAO is not maintained since 2005 and the licensing status is a little bit confusing:
- the web site http://www.mono-project.com/Tao, mentions "CC Attribution-ShareAlike" i.e. "You are free to:
Share: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.
Under the following terms:
Attribution: You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
ShareAlike: If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original."

- file "COPYING" distributed with sources refers to MIT License and mentions "Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions: The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software."

As far as I understand, RailDriver4OpenBve complies with those two licenses.

Just because Tao has been abandoned doesn't mean the licence changes (not for another 75 years at least)

The library is under the MIT licence, I think the CC licence refers to the Mono site.

You're probably right regarding CC license and Tao web site. Nevertheless, RailDriver4OpenBve is, as far has I known, compliant with MIT license mentioned (see attachment with the full COPYING file). If you don't think so, share your arguments.

Btw, I never suggested that, Tao project being not maintained since 2005, implies any change in Tao licensing.
