Railcard restrictions in disruption

Does the ‘two trains either side’ rule include cases that would otherwise be prohibited by a railcard time restriction?

There are plenty of examples to demonstrate but the most extreme I can find is the 1001 GWR service from Maidenhead to Reading and Didcot, which is obviously canned at the moment… would the 0957 Crossrail be allowed (where Network Railcard is used), or do you have to wait for the 1026?

As I understand it, it overrides all normal ticket restrictions, including Off-Peak, Advance and Railcard based restrictions.

Same opinion here but I guarantee certain minimally trained RPIs will drool at the thought of pulling someone up over it.

Might be worth sending the question to GWR customer service.

Yeah, it does. As I read the brief, customers may travel either side and restrictions are lifted.
