I have just booked a Journey in November for Kings Cross to Durham on East Coast - Advance tickets.

Rather stupidly I booked the tickets using one of my saved "Favourite Journeys" that included a railcard for which I'm no longer eligible.

Am I able to pay the difference or will I have to buy them again?

I thought it seemed like a good price - safe to say it's no longer saved as a "Favourite Journey"!

I believe East Coast offices will just charge you the difference.

I'd get in touch with them as soon as possible though to make it clear it was an error while booking.

Yes, it's East Coast company policy to do this. Go down to your nearest EC ticket office as soon as possible and just explain the situation.

Thanks for the advice.

I gave East Coast a call as I haven't been able to visit the station yet this week.

The guy confirmed that I should be able to pay the difference when I pick up the tickets. Perhaps I should have just done that in the first place but tbh I didn't think I had a chance!

Cheers.
